When Will OAU Post UTME Result Be Out 2026/2027? :- Candidates who participated in the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise are understandably asking: When will OAU Post UTME result be out?
The 2026/2027 OAU Post-UTME screening exercise was conducted physically between Friday, September 25 and Wednesday, September 30, 2026, after the university revised the earlier screening dates.
As candidates wait for the outcome of the screening exercise, it is important to rely on the OAU admission portal and official university announcements rather than social-media claims.
Recent education reporting published on October 1, 2026, stated that the OAU 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening results had been released and directed candidates to the university’s admission portal to check their results. However, a separate current search of OAU’s official website did not identify a university news announcement specifically confirming the release date. Therefore, candidates should verify their individual result directly through the official OAU portal.
Is OAU Post UTME Result 2026/2027 Out?
There are recent reports that OAU Post-UTME screening results for the 2026/2027 academic session are now available.
The OAU e-portal also has an active Screening Tests Result Checker, which asks candidates for their serial number, PIN number and name.
However, candidates should understand that having a result-checking page available does not automatically mean every candidate will see a result immediately. If your result does not appear, it may be necessary to wait for the portal to update or contact the university through its official admission channels.
The safest approach is to check your result personally through the OAU portal rather than relying on screenshots, WhatsApp messages or unofficial lists.
When Will OAU Post UTME Result Be Out?
OAU did not publish a specific result-release date in the official 2026 Post-UTME screening announcement available on its website.
The university’s official notice stated that the physical screening exercise would take place from September 25 to September 30, 2026.
Since the screening has now been completed, candidates should check the official result portal regularly.
A recent report dated October 1, 2026, claimed that the 2026/2027 screening results had been released. Candidates can therefore proceed to the official OAU result portal to determine whether their individual result is available.
Important Update
Do not assume that a social-media announcement is official simply because it says “OAU Post UTME result is out.”
The most reliable confirmation is whether your result can be accessed through the OAU admission/result portal.

Candidates should use the details associated with their screening registration when checking the result.
If you registered through the OAU undergraduate admission portal, you should also monitor your candidate profile for updates.
What If My OAU Post UTME Result Is Not Showing?
It is possible for a candidate to have completed the screening exercise and still be unable to see a result immediately.
If your result is not showing, try the following:
- Confirm that you are using the correct OAU portal.
- Check that your JAMB Registration Number is correct.
- Confirm that your login details are correct.
- Try accessing the portal again later if it is temporarily unavailable.
- Avoid repeatedly entering incorrect login information.
- Check OAU’s official website for announcements.
- Contact OAU through the official contact channel if the problem continues.
Do not pay an individual who claims they can “release” or “upgrade” your result.
OAU specifically warned candidates against patronising Post-UTME or admission agents during the 2026 screening exercise.
OAU Post UTME Screening Date 2026/2027
The 2026/2027 OAU Post-UTME screening dates were revised by the university.
The initial schedule was September 1–5, 2026, but OAU later moved the physical screening exercise to September 25–30, 2026.
The important dates included:
| Activity | Date |
|---|---|
| Original screening period | September 1–5, 2026 |
| Revised screening period | September 25–30, 2026 |
| Revised registration deadline | September 23, 2026 |
| Physical screening | September 25–30, 2026 |
| Result | Check OAU portal for availability |
Candidates should use the revised dates rather than the original schedule.
Does OAU Post UTME Result Mean I Have Been Admitted?
No.
Your OAU Post-UTME result and your admission status are two different things.
The screening result shows your performance in the screening exercise. Admission status tells you whether OAU has offered you provisional admission.
OAU maintains a separate admission-status page where candidates can check provisional admission using the admission year and JAMB Registration Number.
Therefore, even after checking your Post-UTME result, you should continue monitoring the OAU admission portal and JAMB CAPS.
How to Check OAU Admission Status
When OAU begins releasing admission offers, candidates should check their admission status through the official OAU admission-status platform.
The OAU portal provides a Check Your Provisional Admission Status section where candidates are required to enter the relevant year and JAMB Registration Number.
Candidates should also monitor their JAMB CAPS account because admission processing involves both the university and JAMB.
What Should I Do After Checking My OAU Post UTME Result?
After checking your result, do not stop monitoring your admission status.
You should:
- Keep your JAMB Registration Number available.
- Monitor the OAU admission portal.
- Check JAMB CAPS regularly.
- Ensure your O’Level result is properly uploaded to JAMB where required.
- Watch for OAU admission announcements.
- Keep your original academic documents safe.
- Avoid paying unofficial agents.
- Follow only instructions issued through recognised OAU and JAMB channels.
OAU 2026/2027 Post UTME Eligibility
For the 2026 admission screening exercise, OAU stated that UTME candidates who selected the university as their first choice and scored 200 or above were eligible to participate, alongside eligible Direct Entry candidates.
This 200 UTME score was the eligibility threshold for participating in the screening exercise. It should not automatically be interpreted as the final departmental admission cut-off for every programme.
Different programmes may have different admission requirements and competition levels.
OAU Post UTME Result and Admission Cut-Off Mark
Candidates should not confuse three different things:
1. JAMB UTME Score
This is the score obtained in the UTME examination conducted by JAMB.
2. OAU Post-UTME Screening Result
This represents the candidate’s performance in OAU’s screening exercise.
3. Admission Status
This indicates whether OAU has eventually offered the candidate admission.
These are related to the admission process but are not the same thing.
Therefore, having a particular Post-UTME score does not by itself guarantee admission.
Why Your OAU Post UTME Result Is Important
The Post-UTME result is an important part of the university’s admission process because it provides information about a candidate’s performance during the screening exercise.
However, candidates should not use the result alone to conclude that they have been admitted.
Admission decisions can involve programme requirements, available admission spaces and the university’s admission process.
The correct way to determine whether you have been admitted is to check your official admission status when OAU begins publishing admission offers.
OAU Post UTME Result Not Loading: Common Problems
Some candidates may experience technical difficulties when attempting to check their results.
Common problems include:
Wrong Login Details
Entering an incorrect JAMB Registration Number, password, serial number or PIN can prevent the result from displaying.
Heavy Traffic
When many candidates attempt to access the portal simultaneously, the website may become slow.
Result Still Processing
A result may not immediately appear if the candidate’s record is still being processed or uploaded.
Browser Problems
An outdated browser, cached data or unstable internet connection can sometimes interfere with portal access.
Incorrect Portal
OAU operates different online services. Candidates should make sure they are using the correct result or admission portal rather than a random website.
Is OAU Post UTME Result Free to Check?
Candidates should be careful about websites or individuals demanding unnecessary payments to view a screening result.
Use the official OAU portal and follow the instructions displayed there.
Do not send money to individuals who claim they can provide your result privately or guarantee admission.
Beware of Fake OAU Post UTME Result Updates
Admission periods often attract false information.
Candidates should be cautious of claims such as:
- “Pay money to check your OAU result.”
- “I can upgrade your Post-UTME score.”
- “Pay me and I will give you OAU admission.”
- “Send your JAMB password so I can check your admission.”
- “Admission is guaranteed if you pay an agent.”
These claims should be treated with caution.
OAU’s official 2026 screening notice specifically stated that the university does not endorse or encourage candidates to patronise Post-UTME or admission agents.
